UNESCO Partners PK Amoabeng Leadership Foundation, Reformation Community on Youth Leadership Training

The Ghana Commission for UNESCO has signed a strategic partnership with the PK Amoabeng Leadership Foundation and Reformation Community to expand ethical leadership and mentorship programmes in senior high schools and tertiary institutions across the country.

The MoU establishes the two nonprofit organisations as official partners of the Commission and provides a framework for long-term collaboration on youth development and leadership training.

Under the agreement, Reformation Community will develop a multi-year fellowship focused on resilience, mentorship and practical community impact. The PK Amoabeng Leadership Foundation will extend its ethics, foundational and health-conscious training programmes to students in senior high schools and tertiary institutions across several regions.

The partnership aims to equip participants with leadership skills and civic responsibility, with trained beneficiaries expected to return to their communities and mentor others.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Ghana Commission for UNESCO Secretary-General Professor Damba described the agreement as an important milestone and encouraged the organisations to extend their programmes to northern Ghana. He pledged the Commission’s continued support for their activities.

Captain (Rtd) Prince Amoabeng, founder of the PK Amoabeng Leadership Foundation, said his work was driven by a commitment to changing the mindset of young people. Papa Arkhurst, representing Reformation Community, highlighted the anticipated impact of the ARB network and the importance of ethical leadership training for students.

The agreement seeks to build a longer-term framework for developing young leaders rather than relying solely on short-term interventions. It also aims to create a network of trained participants who can extend the programmes’ reach through peer mentorship and community engagement.
